so i fail majorly for hardly ever updating.
anyway, i went to NC to see my family on the 19th. 4 really nice days of staying up late, going out in the afternoon and not lifting a finger.
i was happy to see them, but honestly it was so good to come home. i feel my family and i have reached a point where we’ve developed a schism. like, the way that i do things here would just be frowned upon at home. so i felt like i was kind of guarded with my family, because if i acted like i normally do these days, my mother would be constantly rolling her eyes or tutting at me, or something.
i guess i’ve grown up.
so, needless to say, getting off the plane on wednesday morning was a really big relief. its great to be back with skeeter and my kitty, great to be around his family again, great to just be COMFORTABLE.
the weather this summer has been unforgiving. i’ve decided i’d rather be freezing my ass off all the time as opposed to sweating it off.
that said, i’m gonna start laying out more. i wanna toast up a little before the season’s over.
classes start on monday. i start earlier in the morning, but i’ll be home earlier in the afternoon.
now, if i could only find a fucking job, things would be perfect.
oh, jack’s mad at me for some reason. either for going away for 4 days or fawning over izzy’s new kittens. or both.
in other news, ed mcmahon, michael jackson and farrah fawcett have all passed. WTF?

Oh, the ridiculous things I do when I’m in a really giddy fucking mood.
I went to Olive Garden the other night (which from this point on I shall refer to as ‘OG’, so pay attention!) with Skeet & his cousin and his cousin’s girlfriend.
We had an amazing time. I had my 1st alcoholic drink in a restaurant that night (belini, zomg! yummm!). We laughed, and we laughed and we laughed. The guy in the pic above was our waiter. I think his name was Josh? but I don’t really remember…
Anyway, Josh was the shit. Like, he wasn’t awkward with us or anything. Any time he came to our table, he jumped right into our conversation in some form. Whatever we were discussing, he knew about it. And thanks to his input, we laughed even more. I thought this man was the bomb.
So, being the dork I am, I requested a picture. I couldn’t quite get him into the Charlie’s Angels vibe like I wanted him to, but I got the thumbs up.
Poor pic quality because I was giggling the whole time, lollolol.

Jenn, you had to know I’d adore this.
So we dropped Jack off at the vet this morning. He’s been having trouble peeing.
They got a catheter in him this morning, and he was drained. There was a lot of blockage (which makes sense) and some blood (which Dr. Burger assured me was kind of typical of the procedure.)
He said he wants to keep him overnight and then remove the catheter in the morning. Then they’ll keep him an additional 24 hours to make sure he’s going on his own. If he’s not, they MAY have to do surgery. But he said they shouldn’t HAVE to operate, its just a possibility.
So I’ll be without my baby for 2 days. That makes me really sad. What makes me even sadder is that I had plans to go to Indiana Beach with some of my schoolmates, but I may have to bail on them to make sure Jack gets picked up.
And the nice little cherry ontop? I got my period 2 seconds after getting off the phone with the Vet. Dammit.
